Correspondence from Leah Hirsig to Montgomery Evans
Sept. 12 [1924]
A.C. has collapsed completely.
There doesn't seem the slightest hope of anything going our way.
Write a sort of Dummy letter (legible, please) saying you are ill in hospital, won't be out for ? weeks and are unable for the next week or so to attend to business. This to show printer in case he pushes us too hard. He is still amiable. How long, oh Lord, how long?
L.H.
