My dear Miss Bingham

 

I am surprised at not hearing directly from you acknowledging receipt of my instructions, to 100 francs, and the Postal Order for £5. Nor do I understand Mr. Mudd's [Norman Mudd] report that you are in doubt as to the nature of my instructions. My previous letters stand.

     

I expect to be in Paris on May 6 and hope to have the work complete to the end of Vol. 3. Mr. Mudd will hand to you the Ms. to fill up the gap from the section where you left off some months ago to the beginning of Vol. 3

     

I will send you a further remittance on my arrival in Paris.
