Correspondence from Leah Hirsig to Norman Mudd

[EXTRACT]

[5 May 1925]

Beast, Astrid [Dorothy Olsen] and Barron [William Barron] left for France on Saturday on the 2nd, leaving me behind to do a lot of typing while they get some cash etc. By the time you get this, Barron will have been with you—very broke, I'm afraid. He has helped magnificently; but I expect A.C. will say things about him to you. Take them for what they are worth. I wish I was out of this blasted town. Heaven only knows what has happened to Ninette [Ninette Shumway] and the kiddies.
