Correspondence from James Driberg to Aleister Crowley

[10 August 1926]

Dear Sir,

I beg to thank you for your telegram and letter, As I am not in sympathy with my brother Tom's [Tom Driberg] various activities, I am not kept very much in touch with his movements. I have made inquiries and I understand that he is at present staying with his mother in Sussex. I fail to understand why he did not keep his appointment with you, and also why he did not notify you that he was unable to keep it. I can only apologise for the fact that a person bearing my name had been guilty of such discourteous behaviour.

Yours truly,

James Driberg
