Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Karl Germer
[EXTRACT]
[22 December 1927]
I think you may have failed to realise that the way to Cora's [Cora Germer] heart is cocktails and sprightly badinage. She's starving for Life, and will jump at any adorable invitation! A woman's No always means 'I do love being asked. Go on a bit more; I'll come round when I'm tired of teasing myself.' If and when it becomes possible, I go to the 'Victorious City' [Cairo] for that 'abstruction.' A great Magical operation, and a sublime Act of Truth. I've been made ready—the Lord knows!—exactly as I was before, by being choked off all other Magick.
