[EXTRACT]

The man in London [Gerald Yorke] is wealthy and has A.1 connections. But he is young, and at present on an allowance. The best is that he is a businessman. We should get him to form a private company. The profits should be very good for capitalists, as all I want out of it is an assured income to be able to work with convenience and no worry. . . . This is the best news we've had in years.
