Yes: you were the villain of the piece. K [Kasimira Bass] started to recover at once, and, bar a little aftermath, became her usual light and sunny self—as Ethel M Dell might say.
We go to Grenoble to-day where the nights should be cool (It is still p[retty] b[loody] hot here).
P.G. Konody [Paul Konody]. The Albany (I think) might help us with the publicity—possibly might rewrite the Memoirs [The Confessions of Aleister Crowley].
A man with more real understanding than his record suggests.
