Care Frater:
93
Thank goodness I am out of the old Hospital at last. Although, to be perfectly frank, I have not much to complain about. I was taken care of perfectly—even though my stay there was a bit longer than anticipated. However, being well, or partially so, I don't intend to land back there any more.
I wonder if I might take the liberty of asking a favour of you. There is a magazine issued in New York by the Societas Rosicruciana in America called "MERCURY." I should like very much to obtain the December, 1928 number as I understand it contains something in which I am rather interested, I believe it is obtainable from John Watkins & Co. Could I take advantage of you to the extent of asking you to obtain it for me? I can't get it from Brentano's. I certainly would appreciate it if you could. (P.S. It is not Mencken's American Mercury.)
Your statement when you were here last that I need not worry for money for return fare to U.S. should things smash here is greatly appreciated. But I am of the opinion that if they do smash, (which I don't think will occur) I believe it is my duty to stay with AC and get along as well as we can together. It is not sportsmanlike to stay here when things are ok and then beat it when things are not so good. Nuff sed. But I want to thank you once more for your offer. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
93 93/93
Sincerely and fraternally
Israel Regardie
