Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Gerald Yorke
Hotel Metropole, Bruxelles, Belgique
May 28th, 1929
Care Frater:
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
I paid the hotel bill up to Sunday the 26th. That leaves us with very few hundred francs. I don't understand why the Germer [Karl Germer] money did not arrive today at the latest.
There seems to be a vast panic in Wall Street, and as Miss Eaton [Cora Eaton] has been gambling, and as women are always bulls, it looks as though the Gods will have to pull an ace or two out of Their sleeves.
The heat is still crushing. It is impossible to do anything but lie about in pyjamas and sweat, with occasional cold baths.
Love is the law, love under will.
Yours fraternally
