Correspondence from Henry Poole & Co. to Aleister Crowley
Henry Poole & Co. Court Civil & Military Tailors Nos. 37, 38, 39 Saville Row, London, W.1.
Alexander Crowley, Esq., Georgian House, Bury Street, S.W.1.
31st October, 1929
Sir,
We beg respectfully to remind you that, for immediate settlement now, the bill for £36 we sent you for the clothes we had the pleasure of making for you recently is subject to a cash discount of 10%.
We make this allowance as an inducement to our customers to discharge our bills promptly, as at the present time we are unable to give extended credit, for our woolen merchants find it necessary nowadays to require immediate payment of their invoices.
Thanking you in advance for your kind attention to this letter, as also assuring you of careful attention when you wish to make use of our services again.
We are, Sir,
Your obedient servants,
Henry Poole & Co.
