Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Lt. Colonel John Carter
[circa December, 1929.]
Dear C.
1. You said the other day night that if I were in control of that shilling-shocker Tong, I could command your services. I am still testing the flavour or flavours of this deliciously subtle joke!
2. In point of fact, with your help, I could get control of such a body, with hundreds of thousands of adherents every where, and property to the value of very many millions sterling. The you could command my services.
3. It is in anti-English hands, but virtually harmless for lack of moral backbone and of discipline.
4. I would amend this, and direct the whole organization in accordance with His Majesty's wishes.
