Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Trustees of Crowley's Trust Fund
Ivy Cottage, Knockout, Kent
Dec. 11th, 1929.
Dear Sir:
I have now come to an arrangement with the Home Office by which I shall be able to being my daughter [Astarte Lulu Panthea] to England, subject to the discretion of the immigration officer at the immigration officer at the port of landing. The Home Office states that I need anticipate no difficulty provided that I am in personal charge of the child and ready to give the necessary explanations to the immigration authorities.
In order to execute this programme, it would be necessary for me to have an advance of £25 on the monthly allowance, as you were kind enough to authorize in the last two years. For not only will the journey be rather expensive, but the child must have proper clothes immediately on arrival in England.
I shall be glad if you could see your way to accommodate me in this respect immediately, as it would be desirable for many reasons that she should be over here before Christmas.
I am writing by this mail to your co-trustee in identical terms.
Yours faithfully,
E. A. CROWLEY
