Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Karl Germer

Care Frater:

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Thanks for yours of February 4th. I do not expect to be able to send you the galleys of the LEGEND [The Legend of Aleister Crowley] for another week. There has been some difficulty with the printers about libel.

The financial proposition is roughly this. You get preference shares, carrying 10% guaranteed on real estate, and 20% of the profits.

The second part of the diary was sent off on the 3rd instant, just a day before you wrote. You must have it by now.

I absolutely must have the facts for which I asked if I am to be of any use to you. Incidentally, it is of the greatest importance that you should be able to write all these things without your beastly ego coming into it. Write them as you would any other facts, and kill this idiot Germer.

It appears from an interview which I had with Yorke [Gerald Yorke] some days ago, that he has been double crossing us throughout, but in particular he has grossly deceived you and Cora [Cora Germer] by a systematic course of voluntary lying. I shall go into the matter further next week.

In the meantime, be on your guard.

Love is the law, love under will.

Yours fraternally,
