Correspondence from Bertha Busch to Gerald Yorke
August 9. [1932]
Dear Gerald.
Now I am still managing about a residential—The lady is a society lady who has never been in work. The house is a wonderful showplace. 8 bedroom 4 reception rooms. My idea is now - 5 lodgers will pay the expense of the house—I shall give bridge circles—and [illegible] supper—the lady has the society people [illegible]—the cooking [illegible] and housekeeping will . . .
. . . no room for A.C.—but he can live near me—and I hope I can spare little time for him.
[illegible]—all depends on a little [illegible]
Love
Bill [Bertha Busch]
Just seen Kerman [Isidore Kerman]. My contract is O.K. but ought to be clinched. So I simply must play up to the man—for Heaven's sake wire that 2£5. He'll go on holiday if I don't fix it in the next 3 days. 666.
