Dear Mr Sadleir,

Further to my call upon you on Friday last, I have made some further investigations into the matter discussed between us, and am preparing a scheme which I hope to submit to you at an early date.

In the mean time it may interest you to know the Messers. Odhams Ltd., (The proprietors of John Bull) keep a "dossier" of people they have had cause to attack or expose and I understand they are quire willing to place any "dossier" in which you may be interested, at your disposal, or that of your solicitors. Further, I believe it is a fact (in law) that if a person admits (and publishes) the commission of certain—shall we say— irregularities, the publication of an additional instance does not constitute grounds for redress. I submit this opinion as a layman; no doubt your solicitors will be able to advise you on the point. The evidence is contained in "Confessions" [The Confessions of Aleister Crowley] by Aleister Crowley published in 1929. (Col. 1 page 67).

Yours faithfully,

Elliot S. Darby
