Dear Harper,

Did you see the enclosed in yesterday's Daily Telegraph? If Mr. Justice Bennett has been accurately reported the central sentence of his remarks is, as we know, definitely untrue. I do not know whether, in the interest of other unfortunate people who may be persecuted in this way, a whisper as to the facts might be set going through the corridors of the Courts of Justice.

As you know we are waiting with interest to hear the latest opinion as to whether or not we can resume selling copies of LAUGHING TORSO.

Yours sincerely,

C.J.S. Harper Esq.,

10-12 Bishopsgate,

E.C.2.
