Dear Sir,

I was much interested in your article in the Sunday Despatch and especially in what you say about the Elixir of Life. This makes one feel as though one were living in a story by H.G. Wells. Is this for sale? It would be wonderful to try it. I have always felt so full of physical energy and now almost suddenly I find I can't move on the tennis court my body is so stiff and heavy, and long to be able to play games as vigorously as I used to do. If your elixir is for sale will you send me particulars of it?

Yours truly

Mary . . . .
