Yours of January 15. Your information is very meagre. Is the Spann correspondence the only contact with the Federal Trade Commission? Your letter to him is very good. I think you are right about his being a Clymer [R. Swinburne Clymer] man. If so, he does not amount to anything. Make your inquiries about the F.T.C. investigation. The District Attorney might help you.
It does not seem that your relations with Max [Max Schneider] are as cordial as I should like.
I am enclosing a Memorandum. You might be able to arrange a loan in California. We offer a capitalist up to 100% for the loan. The person introducing the capitalist gets 10% on completion. I cannot come out comfortably unless money, as I unless I can wind up matter satisfactorily in this country there may be difficulties with the passport.
