Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to André Pigné

[Undated: 28 Feb 36]

Dear Mr. Pigné

Thank you for your letter. Your horoscope illustrates your life well. You ought certainly to be firmly attached to a woman of great sexual experience, not a professional. Probably a woman of 40 would be much better than a younger one. It is clear that you need a thorough education in this matter.

I am sorry but I seem to have broken all my links with Paris. I cannot think of the name of any brother. But there is a M.J. Bricaud, Lyon, the head of the Martinist Order. You could get his address from Chacormac who, as you doubtless know, is an occult bookseller on the Quai Saint Michel or thereabout. He, I am sure, would be able to introduce you to local Free Masons. If this does not work, let me know and I will do some more thinking.

If you should happen to be over in London I hope you will come and see me as I feel that I might be of use to you, especially about your health.

Yours sincerely.
