Correspondence from Frieda Harris to Aleister Crowley
[EXTRACT]
[Date Unknown] [circa late March 1938]
Dear Crowley,
I have been trying to deal with Esmé Percy. He agrees your play is magnificent. I have asked him to dine at 8 p.m. at the Hungaria Czada 77, Dean Street on Thursday March 31st in the hope that you will be able to join us. So— Thank you so much for the book which is asleep in my bag, the last straw for breaking . . . back, as it is cohabitating with all the vile impediments of a modern woman's make-up, coupled with filthy lucre in a true sense.
