Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Karl Germer

[circa late March 1938]

I dine with Lady H. [Frieda Harris] on Thursday [31 March 1938] to meet a famous actor, Esmé Percy who thinks Mortaldello "magnificent," and wants to play it. It would help me much if I could appear decently clothed and pay for a drink after dinner, perhaps. So, if you should have a bit of luck. . . . If we really come to terms re Mortadello, it means complete relief from all financial worry. He's taking it for London would mean a sure sale of film rights for cash. So do what you can!
