Correspondence from H. Jackson (Crowley's doctor) to Gerald Yorke
28 Grove Park Gdns. Chiswick W.4.
G. J. Yorke Esq. 5 Montague Square W.1.
23rd Nov 1938
Dear Mr. Yorke,
I think it my duty to let you know, the position as regards A. Crowley and myself. I have personally stopped all treatment to him, as he is in debt to me of a sum exceeding £10 he being an undischarged Bankrupt, and did not disclose this fact to me. In fact he imposed on me and is still doing so with other people, as I have just discovered this morning. By making claim as a Doctor. You first gave me the warning by telling me he was no Doctor, however he has acted in such a dirty manner and owing me £13-15-0 for treatment which I gave him at practically cost to myself. Of course I have now discovered a great deal against him, which, I did not know. He also once gave you a very foul name to me, when I mentioned you. However the whole affair is now in the hands of Solicitors, and also "John Bull". But as you have made out cheques for his Zotofoam Equipment and this may later be seized. I think it fair to warn you. Of course I myself am to an extent also responsible for that equipment. The letter I have from him and my reply are in my possession if you would care to see them. I have come to the conclusion that Crowley is just a common twister and I am not afraid of making that statement to anyone.
Yours Faithfully.
H. Jackson.
