Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Gerald Yorke
[21 August 1939]
Care Frater,
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
Thanks for your note. I am having to deal with correspondence in the intervals of polishing off the Tarot [The Book of Thoth]. I want, if I possibly can, to get away for the month of September. I am dreadfully stale, and need a complete change if I am to be any good at all for the autumn. By the way, ought I to address you as Captain, or something millingtary? I will note to rung you up about lunch time on October 4th. In the meantime, you can send me down some nice young grouse if you will, if you are getting more than you can eat yourself.
I will try to send you a copy of the manuscripts concerned in the course of the next few days, so as to give you an idea of how far we have got.
Love is the law, love under will.
Yours fraternally,
666.
