Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Montgomery Evans

[Sept. 6, 1939]

Dear M.E.2.

Swell of you to think of me!

No, I do not bike by hotels in beautiful scenery. Omar [?] had the right idea.

I shall be very glad to see you back. Things here drag dreadfully. "Murder of my Patient" I found not too good. "[illegible] of my Aunt": yes, that is first class of its kind.

I want to see Bigg's [?] book. First hand knowledge of his subject at [illegible] best!

I haven't been anywhere or done anything since you left. I confess to being slightly fed up. We are all hoping for was to break out.

Yours ever

A.C.
