Dear Louis

Glad you are O.K. There might well be hopes of repeating '16-'18, with bells on, if you were in London. I know something worth a king's ransom: literally. And when I say literally, I mean it. But I don't know quite how to use it, and I can't share it unless with the right person. I will tell you about it when I see you, and explain my difficulty. If we could manage this, we should be in a position not only good in itself but conquering great power to put over the Tarot and the A.M.O.R.C. Please take this letter very seriously, and make a special effort to turn up. I would dash down to see you; but the war reduced my income to nil, the new taxes have cut that down 30 percent and I am threatened with loss of more than half the balance. Excuse my arithmetic!

Yours

Aleister
