Correspondence from Frieda Harris to Aleister Crowley
[19 December 1939]
Dear Aleister,
I have a long complaint from Charles Roberts for introducing you as tenant to his flat. Having no money Mr. Roberts demanded £21 for electricity and telephone—he tells me you undertook to pay for those services. I can't help him being down to my limit myself.
I can give 3 shillings a week more which will allow you 18 calls. I don't want to disturb as you're ill.
Yours ever, Priggy Harris, Lady of the Manor & Universal provider also Charwoman.
