Dear Louis

Do what thy wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

You said that you were coming up to town in November, but I have not seen you. Please give some sign of life. Everything here is quite normal, and the Tarot [The Book of Thoth] is near completion at last. I want to know whether it is intelligible. It is certainly redundant in some places, but I am not sure whether this is an advantage or otherwise. There is a difficulty about the correlation of the tables and diagrams with the text; in other words I am three things, of which the third is bewildered. Please drop me a line on receipt of this and remember that in these times one gets very anxious about the disappearance of one's accomplices, who are not so easily replaceable as they were when one was twenty.

Yours ever

Aleister

P.S. I am enclosing you a very rough draft of the catalogue. I have not even read it through.

Love is the law, love under will.

Yours ever

Aleister
