Correspondence from Frieda Harris to Aleister Crowley

[EXTRACT]

Dear Aleister,

Know what you won't do shall be the whole of my Law!

I can bear many things, chillblains included, but I will not draw a lady like Aubrey Bearsley. Old Edwardian Indecency drawn by a lineal introvert I call him. [Beardsley produced] lifeless ladies which make me vomit.
