Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Ethel Archer

Dear E.A.
93.
Yes, thanks muchly. Yours reached me just before I left Glos. On my return I was kept so busy in bed that I had time for nothing else. But Yester'een I mailed you your copy No. 50 [of Temperance: A Tract for the Times]. You should have it some time today. Your puss cat friend whom I sometimes see at Columbia's is a funny bird. I like him. Glad you are better. My holiday did me no end of good. Tell me how you like the book. Next effort the Tao Teh King. Perfectly glorious here. I never get tired of watching the river from my window. Nice book for you to get from the library—"No Orchids for Miss Blandish" by James Hadley Chase.

Yours
