Haven't heard of you for ages; I suppose you were with de Gaulle at Dakar.

Have a delightful place here for a G[reat] M[agical] R[etirement] Lost in the hills; opens on a gorgeous garden—might be South of France!—with a great view over woods; sea about a mile away; every last word in comfort. Especially being alone! Asthma and other plagues practically non-existent. The air suits me, and I get lots of exercise. Full of pep. Do let me know how you are.
