Dear Louie

You didn't answer my last and I've lost your other address. So wake up! I'm starting an Abbey of Thelema. You had better butt in. Do you know Mallock? Barrister, now, playwright, always rebel. I hope he may join us. I am drunk with joy. Karl Germer is alive & well. Nov 16 he was interred near Pau, and all set to go to the Arsehole of Democracy. So perhaps we shall all live happy ever after. Mallock—the first human voice I have heard for months. Do write as soon as you get this; if you are anywhere near, drop in. I want to see you very badly indeed; we must collaborate to build the New Order on the planet. Your voice and pen are imperatively needed. More briefly, poscimur.

Yours

Aleister

Talking of Haw-Haw. "That's the fellow in the Tower, isn't it?"

A.C. "No, it's a man called William Joyce".

"Ah, that's the fellow that wrote the dirty book?"

A.C. "No, you are thinking of James Joyce, an old blind man and a very distinguished artist; and he never wrote a dirty book."

I never thought I should have a good word to say for him.
