My dear Louis.

I was delighted to get your letter, but not when a few hours later I developed an abscess on the front of the thigh, which has kept me in bed ever since, and is unlikely to release me for some time yet. The rest of my news is in perfect harmony with the above; so I will not inflict the gloomy details. Freica [Frieda Harris] will be here on Monday, and this will probably lead to the reproduction of 4 of the cards in colour—as a bait to investors.

The latest fake is amusing. See enclosed. For Mein Kampf read the Book of the Law, and there you are! The Herrenvolk theory is sound: but the Masters are not a tribe. Those who dare, know, will and can—the old formula; I must stick it into the cards somehow!—are the lords of the Earth. This doctrine is very prominent in Liber AL; it constantly recurs.

Excuse crude brevity: I am not feeling Herrvolkish this morning! I hope to see you before November is out.

Love Aleister.
