Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to James Branch Cabell
London, S.W.1.
May 24 [1942]
Chere Maitre!
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
A long, long while since our ships passed in the night! But you have been with me constantly as the creator of that magnificent universe, so much superior to that usually so termed wherein I love to wander.
Nevertheless I have always had a little universe of my own; the enclosed is a key. Gladly would I ask you to honour me by accepting a copy but the edition is not mine. It belongs to the O.T.O. and you can get one from Mr. K. J. Germer [Karl Germer], 260 W. 72nd Street, New York City.
I hope you are still going strong. As for me, Mother Sereda has not neglected her duty toward me; maybe very soon I shall find myself a young swineherd gazing into the pool.
Yours with constant affection,
AC.
