I shall not bother you for comment on it [McMurtry's poems] unless you have criticism on some particular point on which you can help me as I am not at all satisfied with my work at the present time. I feel that I have come through a sort of kindergarten and, having learned something of the technique of handling words, should now put myself through an intense course of preparation for bigger things.
