Correspondence from Nancy Cunard to Aleister Crowley
[23 August 1944]
I loved your poems. And keep thinking of inspiring "La Gauloise."
I went to take the room you told me of [at 93 Jermyn St], by the week (2 10/- I think you said) . . . I am told my petition to go to France has a good chance.
So—I will, in any case, be ready to take it this Wednesday (after tomorrow, August 23) by the week, if agreeable to you.
I need nothing—a couch of sorts, a table if possible—a hook or two. . . .
Love Nancy
