Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
Not only delightful, your visit, but (I feel) most fruitful; the Yi King owed it to me, for the day’s [I Ching] hexagram was “Great Havings”, and all the other things were Income Tax demands, bills, and other items “in the red”.
But the pleasure made me forget one matter of vast import; I want you to do a bit of Magical Shopping for me. This.
I need a Disk. It must be circular, and gold.
The ideal is a zecchino (sequin) issued by Pope Alexander VI; it represents the Miraculous Draught of Fishes. This is a well-known coin; there were two up at auction some 10 months ago, & I just missed them. If one should be available, it must be in “mint condition”. You might telephone Spink’s, the London Bullion Co, & a few other specialists in coins. If in vain, advertisement might do the trick.
Second string. Any Oriental gold coin or medal (e.g. a gold mohur). This also must be perfect & heavy & thick. An American “Double Eagle” might do. Preferably, no portrait. (I forget whether Double Eagles have them) a coin or medal, all Arabic characters, is perhaps the best bet.
Sorry to burden you, but—
Love is the law, love under will.
Fraternally
666.
