Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Kenneth Grant
Feb 25 [1945] [Scrawled beneath date]: I can’t get V.S. [Vernon Symonds] to make up his mind about anything. A.C.

Yours of 22nd & 23rd. Nothing much to answer, so I didn’t.
Jermyn St [93 Jermyn Street]: You may find trouble getting stuff cartable, especially as I just recall that the miniature chest of drawers would be better here. If in trouble, apply COWTAN of Sloane Sq mentioning name of Mrs. Sutherland [Cordelia Sutherland]; they might help.
Bray [the binder of the Book of Thoth, at the firm of Sangorski & Sutcliffe]: Can’t recall what particulars you want. Sorry.
Yours of 24th.
Glad you had no £15. "Michael" [Michael Houghton] is the meanest thief alive. Even his fellow Jews—and you know how they hang together—spit on him for the foulness of his methods.
A good clean set [of The Equinox], perfect, uniform, is worth £10. If with special attractions, such as notes by any one who counts, might fetch £12. A perfect “luxe” set say £15-20.
Do quench your boyish enthusiasms, & look at the world with the cold lack-lustre eye of the hard boiled business man!
CD.3 [Form concerning overseas mail] seems as irrelevant as the rest. Will write more when well—still confined to room.
Yes, one should include the 93 greetings whether “writing to my Lady or my butcher”; but it takes more courage than I have to do it all the time.

Will wire as soon as I can pin down V.S.
