It was on purpose that I gave you no details of the agreed terms. It was natural of you to enquire; but even to allow yourself to wonder was magically wrong. Smack!
It is difficult to put the affair on an £.s.d. basis; but, roughly, your work is paid at about the same rate per hour as you are getting now. Then there are no deductions. There is no waste of time on journeys.
There is no foul London and Ilford atmosphere.
Your status is that of a guest, same as mine.
You are making yourself a career in the line you would have chosen had you been entirely free.
