It is Easter and the house is crowded with frolicsome females and fanciful males. They got a band down here and the dance is in full swing. 666 would have his joke so we 'dressed up' and entered the Hall. He has a marvellous scarlet kimono (a present from Frieda [Frieda Harris]) with long tassels appended to the sleeves). and he put this on and took his wand. We waited in the dark outside until the jazz stopped and then marched in. He gave the greeting—I gave the Reply. They didn't quite know what to do; how to take it—but at least some really remarkable young lady came forward and said {'What is your will' ['What is Thy will—it should have been]}

When we got back 666 said "This buggered me up properly!! —she must have guessed!

 But the serious side to this Easter, on the esoteric planes—is this. Our mutual friend 'Michael' [Michael Houghton] came down with Doreen (his wife). A rather unpleasant scene ensued upon his discovering my working down here. The 'servant' business didn't work, though I rushed about with a tray once or twice—to give the effect.
