Dear Grady,

93

Yours of Aug 19 has been here over a week—the weather has fought against my answering it; that and the absence of my good Miss Kingston [Crowley's secretary] on a week's holiday!

Sept 24. I have been "out of sorts" this last month. Forgive me!

I braced myself and got the Word [Word of the Equinox]; Expect it, and an answer to your two letters in full this week.

They have some kind of multigraph machine at 1003 [1003 S. Orange Grove Avenue] and want to issue the "Letters" one by one. I've said yes; at $5 a time. I've told [Karl Germer] to put 25% aside for you.

Totally exhausted; can't write more. But—important. You fix it to spend 3 months with me—if I'm still alive—on your discharge. Your letter shows how much you need daily training; and with your gratuity you can do it. Cabling and/or Jack [Jack Parsons] to get a nest ready for you when you return.

Love

Aleister
