Yours of A.M.

Most kindly thought to type your letters. I have always admired your script—like young ships dancing on a sparkling sea—but at times it is hard. Now please don't get the "your approval" habit. I think the right idea is this: what Liber AL means to me L.U.W. [Louis Umphreville Wilkinson]. with the help of 666's Commentary. I do so want to keep A.C. out of it. Remember always that Commentary was written 25 years ago, and in a peculiarly exalted state of mind which I can never regain; which is why I never dared touch it. Afraid even to read it!

Please don't sidetrack me about the pox. Ask the antis! And compare the Big, which now-a-days is hardly worse than mumps! Oculist prescribes reading glasses; says new bi-focals might disappoint. Real woe is A.N. [Anno Domini] and general health. Damn! In a hellish hurry sending out Words [Word of the Equinox] and getting Olla reading for printing.

Yours

Aleister
