Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Louis Umfreville Wilkinson
3 Sep 46.
So glad of yours of 2nd. I expected you here Friday last, owing to some error. Instead, John Symonds came. Do ring him up at Lilliput or write for appointment at 121 Adelaide Road, N.6.3. A visit to me here is like 7 rest cures, so chose your own date. No difficulty about rooms; the 2nd house is going; so, the sooner, the quicker. How am I? Dunno. Have just sent for Dr. But I have certainly been on the edge of insanity. Mixed up the morning and the evening—as Moses, with all his mistakes, never did!
I am really worried about my future. I, too, want—nay, must have, a cozy corner to die in.
OLLA is going on well, if only we can get some more paper.
I don't know where I am.
A day or so with you works to me worlds of good.
Yours
Aleister
