Dear J.S.

93.

I am a cad not to have answered your wire, but feel rotten. Weather fine to-day, so will. Lamentable you're not coming; need you badly to deal with enclosed bill. Please advise by return what I can kick at. James offered spontaneously to take off £30—on grounds such work interests him! What shall I offer to square it? He has had £150 on account.

Any hope of you within the next few days? Vernon [Vernon Symonds] seems dangerously ill. F.H. [Frieda Harris] after weeks in bed now slowly recovering. I am fed up. The binder put seal [on the cover of Olla] upside down that is one very definite and just plaint, as it was right on title page. But anyhow, I want to see you. I do hope the cold is now gone. Am too frantic to write properly.

So long.

93     93/93.

Yours, mad,

A.C.
