Dear Louis

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

Thanks for yours of May 31st. I should have written to you before now if I had known your address. I am terribly distressed by the death of Bernard O'Niell: he really was one of the best. I don't envy you your job of cleaning out your things. I have got some from London here; they came three weeks ago and they are only about a third sorted so far.

Needless to say, the sooner you come to see me the better. For all this, I have had a very pleasant week with Bunting down here. I felt an immediate attraction to him, and what is more I think that he may be able to help me to solve the problem of distribution, which has kept me back all these years more than anything else. Cannot write any more now: this is my bust afternoon.

Love is the law, love under will.

Yours,

Aleister
