Correspondence from Jane Wolfe to Karl Germer

[2 December 1947]

Your news of Aleister arrived promptly. Sniveling Jane feels a personal loss, but I am glad to say I can see the Great Sun filling the heavens with its radiance. . . . "Verily thou; shalt not die, but live." If you could only have been there! I have a feeling you were nearer and dearer than anyone there. The great heart may have had to endure loneliness as well as bodily pain. I shall be glad for any news you may send me.
