Dear Mr. Wilkinson,
E. A. Crowley, decd.
I have received your letter of the 21st instant and I also received your letter of the 14th instant, but this arrived in my absence from the office on business and I have not yet on my return had sufficient time to deal with all the post that was awaiting me.
The position with regard to Whiteley's is difficult. I do not understand their expression "Letters of Administration: as this description relates to a document issued by the Probate authorities where there is no Will. In the present case, Probate of the Will can be taken out by the Executors if there are funds available to justify it and it is quite clear that Probate will not be required if the Official Receiver is going to claim all the money at present in the Bank. If William Whiteley's simply want us to confirm to them the names and addresses of the Executors and that they will take an indemnity from you, then I can do that quire easily, and perhaps, therefore, you will be good enough to ask Messrs, William Whiteley's to write me exactly what it is they require and I will then see whether I can supply it.
Yours sincerely,
Dr. L. Wilkinson, 17, St. Leonards Terrace, London, S.W.3.
