Correspondence from Official Receiver to Louis Wilkinson
COPY/ A-F/R/MR
No.28 of 1935
BOARD OF TRADE DEPARTMENT OF THE OFFICIAL RECEIVER Bankruptcy Buildings, Carey Street, W. C. 2.
2nd February 1948.
Dear Sir,
RE E.A. CROWLEY DEC'D
I acknowledge receipt of your letter dated the 26th inst. ___ing two letters, both dated 21st _____ addressed to you by ____ ____ Germer [Karl Germer].
The Official Receiver is not yet satisfied that the money provided by Mr. Germer represents T__t Monies, namely monies held by the Bankrupt in trust. The Bankrupt undoubtedly entered into a transaction in his own name with a printer for the printing of certain of his books, and incurred debts in connection with the printing. It seems to me that Mr. Germer appears to have advanced monies to the Bankrupt because of mutual interests, and this being so, Mr. Germer can only be a post-receiving order creditor with no provable remedy in the bankruptcy, or any right against the assets in hand which became vested in the Official Receiver as assets in the bankruptcy.
The Official Receiver will be glad to receive Mr. Germer's observations hereon.
Yours faithfully,
W.J. WHITE Assistant Official Receiver
Mr. Louis Wilkinson, 17, St. Leonard's Terrace, LONDON S.W. 3.
