Correspondence from Charles Stansfeld Jones to Gerald Yorke

Care Frater,
Holy Week has largely been spent in supplying you with some details of fresh revelations of Liber Legis and in their light preparing a brief outline of events covering many years dealing with the passing of the ordeals set forth for the Fool—Parzival—in Chapter III 63-67, and particularly in pointing out that a representative if ISSA was, as shown I.49, the Candidate for the Initiation of the Equinox of the Gods. Verse 69 of Chapter III clearly announces the outcome: There is success. This, as 418, I accept.
This day is symbolic of one who arose from hell. Yesterday (Saturday) I received your letter containing the note made by Therion that his magical Son might have turned out to be a Black Brother. Time will show. But today there is another side to the picture, and I will quote a letter proving that before he misunderstood—or again did not want to understand—he held no such opinion. I accept the spirit of that letter, as his present view, and rejoice thereat.

My beloved Son,

Your Parzival [The Chalice of Ecstasy] just arrived—I'm sick in bed, but I must write you with my own hand to tell you how overjoyed I am—repaid a millionfold for all I have been through—and encouraged to buck all I may have to go through yet.
The style and all are A.1. and I am particularly struck by your map on p. 76 in view of the similar though more elaborate chart I sent you recently. Will you criticize that chart, please, and send it back for me to put into final form in the light of your views; we may then issue it officially.
I have been going through some wonderful experiences.

P.S. Remember that the greatest artist is he who best understands his limitations. That is 93 and that is the chief factor in your success in this book. By the way, I have failed to understand conditions in U.S.A. I wouldn't understand—at least, wouldn't admit that I understood. Don't blame me too much as my recent analyses have told me the definition.
