September 23rd 1948

Dear Sir,

I have your letter of the 21st instant enclosing authority duly signed by Mr. Germer [Karl Germer] and your good self. While not quite in order it will suffice as we hold one duly signed by Lady Harris [Frieda Harris], the remaining Executor.

I have been in touch with Mr Beckett of Messrs Menneer Idle and Brackett and he will get on with the obtaining of Probate. He will send the necessary papers for your signature in due course.

£50 has today been transferred from deposit to current account and it will be in order for cheques to be drawn as long as it is appreciated that Probate will now be sent to the Bank, when obtained, for registration in our books.

The rate of interest allowed on deposit is 1/2% per annum.

Yours faithfully,

Manager
