Dear Sir,

re Maria Theresa Crowley [Maria de Miramar]

Regd. No. 23113.

Thank you for your letter of 16th October concerning Mrs. Crowley. I was interested to find that she was the wife of the late Aleister Crowley, a fact of which I was unsure.

I should be very pleased to receive the documents to which you refer.

When Mrs. Crowley was first admitted she had delusions of grandeur, claiming to be the daughter of the King and Queen, and stated that she was married to her brother. Her mental condition has deteriorated somewhat and her delusions are not so prominent but she is hallucinated and often noisy in response to voices. She will not discuss her marriage or her husband but this is probably due to her mental disorder.

Yours faithfully,

Physician Superintendent.
